U.S. Soccer Verifies Christian Pulisic Call-up

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Christian Pulisic was known as in by Jurgen Klinsmann for that U.S. national team’s set of World Cup qualifiers against Guatemala, but continues to be in Germany because of illness, U.S. Soccer has confirmed to Goal USA.

U.S. Soccer stated the 17-year-old will lose out on the USA’s game in Guatemala City on Friday night but when he rebounds, he’ll join they in front of its match against Los Chapines at Mapfre Stadium in Columbus, Ohio on March 29.

Dortmund launched an announcement earlier within the day saying: “Christian Pulisic needed to cancel his visit to the U.S. national team due to contamination. The 17-year-old does however hope he can join the nation’s team in a slightly later stage.”

The Pennsylvania native has burst to the scene in recent days after forcing his distance to the Dortmund senior team. Pulisic makes six total looks for that Bundesliga’s second-place team since making his senior-team debut inside a league match on Jan. 30 against Ingolstadt.

Worldwide, Pulisic hasn’t symbolized the U.S. over the U-17 level but still holds eligibility for Croatia through his grandfather.
